We all want to travel to an exotic country, but the one thing in the way of you and your destination is a long flight. So how do you survive a long flight?


As exciting as traveling can be, the thought of a long flight can be daunting. Being stuck in a tiny seat for hours on end isn’t exactly exciting. However, with the right mindset and preparation, a long flight can be a breeze. Here are five tips for surviving a long flight.


Tip #1 - Dress for Comfort


Wearing comfortable attire is key to surviving a long flight. Avoid wearing tight clothes made from non-breathable fabrics as this can cause discomfort. Opt for loose-fitting, breathable clothes such as sweatpants and a t-shirt. Make sure to also wear comfortable shoes, as your feet may swell during the flight.


Tip #2 - Stay Hydrated


The air inside an airplane cabin is notoriously dry and can cause dehydration. Drinking plenty of water throughout the flight is essential to prevent this. Make sure to bring a refillable water bottle and ask the flight attendant to fill it up whenever you're thirsty. You should also avoid alcohol and caffeine as they can cause further dehydration.

Airplane food may not always fit your dietary needs, preferences, or timetable, so pack some snacks. Avoid snacks high in sugar and salt and focus on foods that will keep you full for longer, like nuts, dried fruit, and protein bars.
